In Newark, family-run Italian places are busiest on weekend evenings and around holidays, when reservations or call-ahead seating are worth it. BYOB is common at smaller restaurants in some states, with a modest corkage fee or none at all; the listing or a quick call will tell you. Wing-and-pizza shops across New Jersey do most of their business by delivery and price wings by the piece or in fixed counts, with sauce heat adjustable on request. Catering trays, party pizzas and sheet pies need a day's notice at most places, and more around big game days.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7 amโ7 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (973) 733-0111. I was so sad when I found out Mr Todโs wasnโt in my Local ShopRite anymore. Still super happy they have a brick and mortar location. I hope they open up in Morris county. The product speaks for itself. Everything was as amazing as I remembered it. The pecan pie was just right and the blueberry pie was not too tart. Cinnamon bun is perfect for breakfast. Staff was very friendly and patient as I decided what to get.

We never even made it out of the parking spaceโand honestly, that says everything. The warm pecan pie and peach cobbler were absolutely irresistible. Rich, comforting, and perfectly done, each bite made it harder to decide which one was better. In the end, the only conclusion was that both were worth every single calorie. What truly elevated the experience, though, was Mr. Tod himself. His welcoming personality and genuine charm made this neighborhood shop feel like a hidden gem you instantly want to return to. Between the incredible desserts and the warm, inviting atmosphere, this place is something special.

Really appreciated finding this place open on Sunday in downtown Newark. Friendly owner, delicious pastries, and good coffee. Also the second floor is super cute to sit and talk with a friend or do some work.
